Public Voice CIC is pleased to announce the appointment of Jane East as its new Chief Executive, from 13th September 2021.
Jane joins Public Voice in September from her current role as Managing Director of the community building charity The Cares Family. She had an early background in social work, but more recently worked in international development as a senior manager in Christian Aid for many years.
Jane will succeed Mike Wilson, who has decided to step aside after 6 years as Public Voice’s founding Chief Executive. He will however remain part-time with the organisation to oversee the further growth of its subsidiary, Haringey Circle, which provides services and social opportunities for those in later life.
Chair of Public Voice, Sharon Grant OBE said:
We are delighted to welcome Jane to take Public Voice into the next stage of its development. She brings very considerable skills from years of service in roles which level up the playing field for those on the receiving end of decision making, locally, nationally and internationally – and that’s what Public Voice is all about.
At the same time we pay tribute to Mike Wilson for the huge contribution he has made to building Public Voice and its excellent reputation as a champion for the citizens voice, particularly in health and social care – and look forward to his ongoing commitment to developing Haringey Circle.
