In November, Healthwatch Croydon hosted a successful Annual Meeting at the Croydon Clocktower Cafe. The event was well attended and provided a great opportunity to both reflect on the year, and to gain insights from Croydon locals during the question-and-answer segment.
Gordon Kay, Healthwatch Croydon Manager, kicked off proceedings by reflecting on the work done in 2023-24 and discussing future plans.
After that, attendees got into groups to give their opinions on what health inequalities Croydon residents are currently facing, and how to best alleviate those inequalities.
The event ended with a panel discussion, where attendees could pose questions. The panel was made up of:
- Matthew Kershaw (Croydon’s Health Leader)
- Sarah Burns (Croydon Voluntary Action)
- Andrew Brown (Croydon BME Forum)
- and Annette McPartland (Director of Adult Social Services for Croydon)
Mayor of Croydon, Jason Perry, was also in attendance.
A video round-up of the event can be watched below.
