Supporting the Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) in Haringey

We provide comprehensive support to the voluntary and community sector (VCS) in Haringey, particularly grassroots organisations and under-served groups, to strengthen governance, grow fundraising channels, build capacity, and increase impact.

Haringey Community Collaborative is delivered by Public Voice in partnership with Mind in Haringey to ensure the sector is stronger, able to attract more external funding and deliver better services.

We help VCS groups and organisations to:

  • Find funding opportunities and get support to develop funding applications.
  • Find the information needed to develop essential documents and processes, including governance.
  • Get set up or started on a new project.
  • Start, grow or manage community groups or organisations.
  • Connect with others in the community through events and networking.
  • Recruit volunteers.

NavNet+

NavNet+ (Navigation Network Plus) is an online platform for Haringey’s Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) to share information, knowledge and news, develop collaboration and partnership working, highlight best practice through shared guidance, and to ensure that workstreams, projects and resident services are not duplicated.

Safeguarding Adults

Haringey Council have produced a series of short videos to help you understand what safeguarding is, how to recognise the signs of abuse and what to do to report it.

The videos are particularly designed for people who work within an organisation as a paid or voluntary worker but could be of interest to others too.

Quiz

Once you have watched the videos you should try the short quiz below to check your understanding:

Feel free to share this with others and if you are working in or for an organisation, discuss what you have learnt with your manager.
